Gaining traffic onto your website can be a headache, with so many different ways where do you start?
The best way to answer this question is to dig deep into what your website is about.
Remember staying on topic is KEY! Having a photography website then talking about computers might be on topic but it all depends on how you are talking about computers on a photography website.
For example if I have an environmental website then I talk about computer mouses it would be straying off topic.
So now that “staying on topic” has been explained, ask yourself “What is my website about?” and “What is my websites goal?”.
Of course everyone’s overall goal is to make money, but what is it you need to accomplish to produce that income you are looking for?
Quality content, quality work; QUALITY QUALITY QUALITY! The better your content (written, images, videos, graphics and audio), the more overall stance you will have over your competition and longevity your content will have. Understand your field and understand what you need to deliver to not only satisfy but to bring back those users.
Having users come back to your content for references, usage or other reasons is a great thing to have. Think about it like your website is a supply base, people need supplies and you are providing it, whether it is knowledge or a physical product.
- Quality website and Product (physical or not) content (images, written, videos, graphics and audio)
- Give users a reason to come back
- Understand what your website is about and stick to it. Stay ON TOPIC!
- Regular updating and additional content. Communication; talk to your users, let them talk to you as well.
- Make quality videos about your website or product, post them on popular video sharing websites.
- Stay connected to your audience, use Twitter, Facebook, Youtube, Myspace, Instagr.am ect. (Research these social media networks, they change all the time [might be new ones out])
- Blogging, this gives your website organic traffic from search engines. Try and blog as much as possible, it really is the best and most powerful tool right now.
What is a webpage? A webpage is a single web page which consists of text, image and or videos in which can but doesn’t have to be connected to multiple pages. A connection is made by a link.
Imagine a spider web, your single webpage would be in the middle of the web and the outer web would be the web pages in which were connected to that single page (by links). In a perfect internet the web only consist of inbound links related to that single webpage.
Inbound links are links in which are coming from one location to another.
To understand how the internet works think of how people’s credibility works in real life. A person in real life gives creditably by telling another person how good of a job that person did. The internet works the same way, so if a lot of people recommend you (by linking to you) you will gain search engine credibility in turn gives you higher ranking.
Things to know..
Understand that some websites such as Facebook, Twitter and Myspace have “No Follow” links. This means that Search Engines will not give you credit from this website or any website that has a no follow attribute within their outbound links.
Paying for link credibility may not be the solution your looking for. As search engine algorithms have evolved they have gotten much smarter. This means finding cheaters, malicious results and things of the sort have been more and more of an absolute thing rather then a coin toss. It wouldn’t be in your best interest to put your self in any of those categories especially if your paying for it, right? Right. So do it the time consuming and painful way, the right way.
What is the right way?
The right way is by contacting other webmasters who are in the same field as your website is. For example, if your a hobby shop you should look for Hobby shop review websites or website in which look for new hobbies to get into for fun. Anything related (try not to go to far away from the main idea).
Second would would be to spread the word, use social media networking sites, try and stay in tune with the ones that matter. Currently as I write this (Twitter, Facebook, Youtube, Digg, Instagr.am) are the important ones. New social media sites tend to explode up from the dark abyss overnight; look out for them.
Third but not final method would be to get organic listings, like Social media websites search engines are popping up like pop corn. Writing blogs, making videos and being creative when it comes to getting your name out are the fundamental foundations of successful website, oh and let me also point out consistency. It WILL be slow at first, it may take six months before you start to see a shift in traffic, sales, comments or whatever your looking to get out of exposing your website. Do NOT give up, it is a painful process but surely pays off for those who tough it out and stick to their original plan; to get found.

How to update Search Engine optimization (SEO) settings on WebPaper
Search Engine optimization (SEO) can be achieved on WebPaper.co for what we call “ON-SITE SEO”. The icon known as page properties, lets users set their website title, meta keywords, and meta description as well as the FAV icon. All this will help search engines understand what your website is about, so you will get the traffic your trying to target.
Why is Search Engine optimization (SEO) important?
You want users who care about what you have to talk about, or what items you might be selling. Why be ranked for something you don’t want to be, and get traffic from people looking for something else. All that will do is hurt your website ranking and conversions but also give you false statistic data from users to see what you might be able to improve on so users stay longer.
Plus when you ask people in today’s market to find the best deal on a product or service, the first place they will go is Google.com or another search engine. So be sure to add your website title, meta description and meta keywords as this will ensure search engines know just what to place you under.
Also in Search Engine optimization (SEO) keyword density matters, so be sure not to over use a keyword like a robot. But do try to use it as often as you possibly can, do keep in mind duplicate content as well. Search engines like Google.com and many others will punish you or lower your rank for doing this. It means to simply copy and paste content another website is using, and placing that content on your website. The correct way to go about doing something like this, should be to re-write the content in your own words. This will not only help you rank better in search engines, but also you will notice some websites just seem to ramble on about nothing.
How to Delete layers

The Basic overview of Search Engine Optimization
Explaining what SEO is..
Optimizing your website can become very frustrating and time consuming. If you follow these basic guide lines it will detour you away from this frustration and hair pulling.
What is Search Engine Optimization – Search Engine Optimization also known as SEO is Bettering your website(s) for higher search results for certain key phrases in your market. By having high search results you then have more traffic to your website.
Getting started is the hardest part in all this. First part is research, research is key to the success and longevity of your web pages success.
Let’s first look at the most popular and well know search engines and how they are doing -
Now that we know sorta whats going on within the search engine market we can now progress.
Our market research, this is most time consuming parts (besides creating content). Find your direct competition. To do this go to multiple search engines such as “Yahoo, Google, Bing, Ask, ect.” and type in your keyword/phrase your attempting to gain popularity for.
Our example here is “Babysitter”, now “Babysitter” is a very board for location defining returning 103,000,000 results. Lets try “New York BabySitter”, google returned 14,100,000. Inserting a location brings less competition and a easier market (88,900,000 less competing websites!)
Now lets be more specific and use “Manhattan Babysitter” and google bring back 3,360,000 results, even less!!
So far we went from “Babysitter” to “New York Babysitter” to “Manhattan Babysitter”. Lets now mess with plural instances. 4,510,000 results from Google for “Manhattan Babysitters”, its more =(. In our case less competition the better!

Content is KING! But only if it is not stolen (copy and pasted). Stay on subject (if you have a website about cars, stick to cars don’t start talking about baseball.).
What is content? Content is anything that someone can access via the internet. (Images,Videos, Text, Audio, Files)
Doors are your content, the more doors you have the higher potential traffic you may have. Try and write as much text content as possible, of course adding images, videos and audio segments are a plus. Currently images and text are the top searched things on the internet.
Quality content is a MUST, copy and pasting is a NO NO! DO NOT COPY AND PASTE your content, not only is it not right (without giving credit/getting permission) you are majorly hurting your future results.
Search Engines will and are penalizing for duplicate content. For example lets say two websites are found in the search engines directory with the same results, it will only display one of the two. Thus being one website missed out indefinably. How that is determined is unknown, but off speculation its due to better “SEO” practices on one of the two websites. The better one stays, and the other one goes.
Basic Onsite Search Engine Optimization consists of the following -
- Title Tag
- Meta Description
- Meta Keywords
- Keyword density (How many times your using your keyword; human like instances not (cars, cars, cars, cars) should look like (Our cars come in all colors. Cars are my favorite hobby. I love cars so much even my wife likes cars.)
- H1 tags (determines subjects displayed on pages) [<h1>Topic Here</h1>]
